In our breed<strong>in</strong>g programme we are look<strong>in</strong>g for comb<strong>in</strong>ations <strong>of</strong> seedl<strong>in</strong>g<br />

and adult plant resistance genes or numerous APR genes (4 or 5) to provide<br />

durable resistance. Fur<strong>the</strong>r study needs to be undertaken <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>se resistant<br />

l<strong>in</strong>es to map <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>heritance pattern and to know <strong>the</strong> number <strong>of</strong> gene(s)<br />

conferr<strong>in</strong>g resistance.<br />
