Atenea:<br />
An academic journal published twice a year by<br />
the College of Arts and Sciences containing<br />
literary articles in Spanish and English.<br />
Boletín de Avances Técnicos:<br />
A free monthly publication by the Technical<br />
Information Center comprising titles and<br />
abstracts of recently published articles and<br />
documents which informing of new advances<br />
and developments in the areas of engineering,<br />
technology, and related fields.<br />
Boletín Informativo de la Facultad de Artes y<br />
Ciencias:<br />
The College of Arts and Sciences bulletin with<br />
information related to faculty members,<br />
departmental activities and achievements,<br />
serving as a link between faculty and students.<br />
Boletín Marino:<br />
A monthly publication of the Sea Grant Program<br />
containing information about the program´s<br />
activities.<br />
Boletines Técnicos:<br />
A series of technical and informative bulletins<br />
about research in agriculture and related areas<br />
published by the Agricultural Experiment<br />
Station.<br />
The Caribbean Journal of Science:<br />
A scientific journal published twice a year by the<br />
College of Arts and Sciences highlighting<br />
research work related to the Caribbean area.<br />
Ceteris Paribus:<br />
The Puerto Rico Economic Review<br />
An academic journal of socioeconomic research<br />
published twice a year by the Department of<br />
Economics of the College of Arts and Sciences<br />
focusing on the most recent research on the<br />
socioeconomic aspects of Puerto Rico and the<br />
Caribbean.<br />
Journal of Agriculture of the University of<br />
Puerto Rico: A scientific periodical published<br />
three times a year by the Agricultural<br />
Experiment Station including technical and<br />
scientific articles related to the agriculture of<br />
Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. The station<br />
publishes a series of bulletins and leaflets of<br />
interest to farmers and housekeepers about<br />
livestock, agriculture, agricultural engineering,<br />
health and hygiene, nutrition, child care, home<br />
economics, clothing and textiles, 4-H Clubs, and<br />
other subjects.<br />
El Puente:<br />
A bilingual newsletter (English/ Spanish) of the<br />
Transportation Technology Transfer Center<br />
published three times a year, serving as a bridge<br />
of information with local transportation officials<br />
in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands and as<br />
a vehicle for reader response consisting of brief<br />
articles about the latest transportation-related<br />
technology. Keeping abreast on the latest<br />
technical publications and audiovisual materials<br />
available, it provides a schedule of seminars and<br />
workshops sponsored by the center as well as<br />
web sites related to training in transportation.<br />

Revista Internacional de Desastres Naturales,<br />
Accidentes e Infraestructura Civil :<br />
An international Spanish journal published twice<br />
a year by the Department of Civil Engineering<br />
discussing areas of natural hazards, accidents and<br />
civil infrastructure problems, as well as<br />
fundamental and applied research case studies.<br />
Papers submitted to the journal are considered<br />
through a peer-review process. Its editorial<br />
board is formed by researchers from Puerto Rico,<br />
U.S., Latin America, and Spain.<br />
COLLECTIONS<br />
The Art Gallery located in the Carlos Chardón<br />
Building of <strong>UPRM</strong> was inaugurated in 1959.<br />
Works by both local and foreign artists are<br />
frequently exhibited. The Department of<br />
Humanities holds a permanent collection of<br />
copies of some of the great paintings and<br />
sculptures of the past.<br />
A Natural History Collection located in Celis<br />
Hall and collections in the Departments of<br />
Geology and Marine Sciences serve as a nucleus<br />
for an expanding museum in the near future.<br />
The Geology Museum displays a collection of<br />
fossils, minerals, and rocks, representative of the<br />
Geology of Puerto Rico. The Planetarium and<br />
the Astronomical Observatory, located in the<br />
Physics building, offer monthly evening shows.<br />
