Fees<br />
FEES AND EXPENSES<br />
The following fees, prescribed by the university<br />
are tentative for 2004-05 and are subject to<br />
change at the discretion of trustees. University<br />
charges such as tuition and fees are due and<br />
payable in full by the date announced before the<br />
beginning of each term.<br />
Tuition<br />
For U.S.A. citizens residents of Puerto Rico:<br />
$30 per credit for students enrolled in two-year<br />
programs plus applicable regular or special<br />
fees.<br />
$30 per credit for regular students enrolled in<br />
four or five-year undergraduate programs<br />
plus applicable regular or special fees.<br />
$30 per credit for part-time and transient<br />
students taking undergraduate courses plus<br />
applicable regular or special fees.<br />
$50 for students enrolled in thesis only.<br />
$75 per credit for students enrolled in graduate<br />
programs plus applicable regular or special<br />
fees.<br />
For U.S.A. citizens, non-residents of Puerto Rico:<br />
Same tuition as resident students plus an<br />
additional amount equivalent to what a Puerto<br />
Rican student would have to pay in the public<br />
university of their state of origin. These students<br />
are also responsible for paying the applicable<br />
regular or special fees.<br />
For foreign students:<br />
$2,400 per year for students enrolled in<br />
undergraduate programs, plus<br />
applicable regular or special fees.<br />
$3,500 per year for students enrolled in<br />
graduate programs, plus applicable<br />
regular or special fees.<br />
Visiting students:<br />
$25 per undergraduate course plus $10<br />
maintenance fee each academic session.<br />
$50 per graduate course plus $10<br />
maintenance fee each academic session.<br />

Students applying for admission, readmission, or<br />
transfer after the corresponding due date will<br />
pay one-and-a-half times the regular fee. Late<br />
applications are accepted only after complete<br />
justification is presented.<br />
*Subject to change according to insurance yearly<br />
contract adjustments.<br />
Regulations<br />
Deadline for payment: All general student fees<br />
for each semester are paid in advance on the<br />
corresponding registration day.<br />
Deferred payment of fees: As a general rule, no<br />
deferred payment of fees is granted. However,<br />
in very exceptional cases, the Dean of Students is<br />
authorized to grant an extension of time which<br />
cannot exceed 30 days before the end of the<br />
course. In those exceptional cases, a student must<br />
