Road signs are erected to direct the public to<br />
the various amenities available to them<br />
throughout the event. MPS (police stations,<br />
crime reporting centres and first aid posts),<br />

Although OPSG meetings take place at the<br />
offices of RBKC, the meetings are chaired by<br />
WCC officers and minuted by RBKC officers.<br />

STREET CLEANING<br />
The local authorities are responsible for<br />
preparing and implementing a cleansing plan<br />
to remove all litter and event-generated<br />
debris from the highway over the event<br />
weekend.<br />

PUBLIC ORDER<br />
The MPS and BTP are principally responsible<br />
maintaining public order and implementing<br />
strategies to minimise or reduce crime. As<br />
part of their community safety strategy and<br />
legal obligations, the local authorities work<br />
with the MPS, using combined intelligence<br />
on local initiatives.<br />

The development and implementation of an<br />
effective transport strategy for <strong>Carnival</strong> is the<br />
responsibility of the transport agencies –<br />
buses, tubes and TfL.<br />

SJA is principally responsible for establishing,<br />
staffing and managing treatment centres<br />
within the <strong>Carnival</strong> area. LAS are responsible<br />
