3 Analog Inputs & Outputs<br />
3.1 In Brief<br />
Drive systems typically require inputs and outputs.<br />
The analog inputs may be used for general purpose process values (such as temperature, pressure,<br />
torque from an external sensor, etc.). Also featured are predefined functions for analog inputs (such as<br />
respective setpoints for Current Mode, Velocity Mode and Position Mode).<br />
<strong>EPOS2</strong> 50/5 additionally supports an analog output for general purposes.<br />
The inputs and outputs can easily be configured using the «Configuration Wizard» and may be changed<br />
online via CANopen or serial bus.<br />

The present <strong>Application</strong> Note explains the functionality of analog inputs and outputs and features “in<br />
practice examples” suitable for daily use.<br />
