agriculture <strong>in</strong> a Wne b<strong>in</strong>d<strong>in</strong>g. Doria beg<strong>in</strong>s with advice on the assessment<br />
of diVerent types and qualities of soil and prospective harvests, which need<br />
to be taken <strong>in</strong>to account when assess<strong>in</strong>g the viability of estates and their<br />
leases. This is followed by detailed advice on the whole process of practical<br />
agriculture, such as how to organise and arrange the Welds for maximum<br />
eYciency, how the Welds are prepared, manure applied and ploughed under,<br />
then sow<strong>in</strong>g, hoe<strong>in</strong>g, etc. up to the harvest<strong>in</strong>g. He makes some useful<br />
