35.3.7
Except where otherwise stated, work shall be scheduled in square metres of actual
surface area covered.
35.3.8
Work to surfaces not exceeding 300 mm in girth and cut-in both edges and to isolated
surfaces not exceeding 300 mm girth shall be scheduled in metres in the following
groups:
(a)
(b)
Not exceeding 150 mm in girth;
Exceeding 150 mm and not exceeding 300 mm in girth.
35.3.9
Work to confined spaces, insides of fittings, and the like shall be scheduled
separately.
35.3.10
Deductions shall be made for openings having an area of 1 .O m2 and over.
35.3.1 1
Windows, borrowed lights, and fully glazed doors shall be measured flat overall, and
shall be scheduled in square metres. The description shall include cutting-in to
glazed or other panels.
35.3.12
Work to isolated surfaces not exceeding 1 .O m2 shall be enumerated.
35.3.1 3
Work in more than one colour on one flat plane shall be scheduled separately and
the line between colours shall be scheduled in metres.
35.4 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
35.4.1 Painting
35.4.1 .I
Backpriming to weatherboards, window frames, door frames and the like shall be
measured separately in square metres.
35.4.1.2
Trellis, picket fences and the like shall be described as open work, measured flat
overall both sides, and measured in square metres.
35.4.1.3
Wood preservatives, staining, sealing, varnishing, burning off, stripping and the like
shall be measured as for painting.
