14.4 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE<br />
14.4.1<br />
Deductions shall be made for sills, lintels and the like having a height of 80 mm and<br />
over, and for all openings and obstructions having an area of 0.2 m2 and over.<br />
14.4.2<br />
Cutting and fitting around all openings and obstructions of less than 0.2 m2 and<br />
cutting and fitting around pipes, standards, switches, plugs and the like shall be<br />
enumerated.<br />
14.4.3<br />
Forming of external and internal angles shall be measured separately in metres and<br />
the description shall include any special material or work involved.<br />
14.4.4<br />
Work to edges of stone shall be described and measured in metres.<br />
14.4.5<br />
Cornices, sills, skirtings, copings, treads, risers, grooves, flutings, running ornaments<br />
and the like shall be described and measured in metres. Mitres, angles, stop ends,<br />
and the like shall be enumerated.<br />
14.4.6<br />
Raking and circular cutting shall be measured in metresor included in the description<br />
of the work as appropriate.<br />
14.4.7<br />
Centring for openings shall be fully described and enumerated. Centring to be left in<br />
shall be measured separately.<br />
14.4.8<br />
Work to bench tops and the like shall be described and enumerated. The description<br />
shall include all surface finishes, edge work and fixings.<br />
14.4.9<br />
Letters, numerals, isolated enrichments and the like shall be described and<br />
enumerated.<br />
14.4.1 O<br />
Mortices, notchings and the like for fixings shall be enumerated.<br />
14.4.1 1<br />
Anchoring to structure and other fixings shall be described and enumerated.<br />
14.4.1 2<br />
Applied treatments shall be described and measured in square metres<br />
14.4.13<br />
Darnp-proof coursing shall be described and measured in metres.<br />
14.4.14<br />
Raking out of joints shall be measured in metres.<br />
14.4.15<br />
Pointing shall be described and measured in square metres.<br />
