25.4.2.6<br />
The fixing only of line mounted automatic controls shall be enumerated. The item<br />
shall be deemed to include the supply of reducers together with the necessary<br />
mating flanges, gaskets and bolts or unions.<br />

25.4.2.7<br />
Connections to equipment, existing services and the like shall be enumerated.<br />
25.4.2.8<br />
Excavation for pipework shall be measured as described in section 24 and the<br />
diameter of pipework including insulation shall be stated.<br />
25.4.3 Ductwork<br />
25.4.3.1<br />
Rectangular ductwork shall be measured in square metres of surface area for each<br />
combination of duct classification (for example low pressure, high velocity, medium<br />
pressure), material and internal lining. Different duct wall thicknesses within a<br />
particular classification shall be disregarded unless specified to exceed normal wall<br />
thicknesses for that class (for example heavier gauge for exterior ductwork).<br />
25.4.3.2<br />
Internally lined ductwork shall be measured including any internal insulation and/or<br />
lining.<br />
25.4.3.3<br />
The surface area shall be based on duct air stream sizes, calculated in accordance<br />
with Appendix A.<br />
25.4.3.4<br />
Bends, tees, transitions and the like shall be measured in square metres as one item<br />
for each duct classification, separately from straight ductwork<br />
25.4.3.5<br />
Plenum boxes to diffusers and the like shall be enumerated. The description shall<br />
include type, internal lining, and the like stating the internal size and connection<br />
sizes.<br />
25.4.3.6<br />
Oval, circular or flexible ductwork shall be measured in metres for each combination<br />
of duct class, size, material and internal lining.<br />
25.4.3.7<br />
Bends, tees, transitions, reducers and the like to oval or circular ductwork shall be<br />
enumerated.<br />
25.4.3.8<br />
Duct mounted items such as dampers, fire dampers, clean-out doors, access panels<br />
and the like shall be enumerated.<br />

Turning vanes shall be enumerated for each type by diagonal sectional area of the<br />
duct.<br />
25.4.3.1 O<br />
Grilles and diff users shall be enumerated according to type, face size if detailed, and<br />
duct connection size.<br />
