An exception may be made for items of high value under 1 O units, which shall then<br />
be given correct to one decimal place.<br />
0.4.5<br />
Where the unit is less than one whole unit, the item shall be enumerated and the<br />
quantity scheduled in the description.<br />
0.4.6<br />
Quantities scheduled within the description may be given correct to one decimal<br />
place except for quantities of mass which shall be in whole kilograms.<br />
0.5 PREAMBLES<br />
0.5.1<br />
Schedules (Bills) of Quantities sections shall commence with preambles which shall<br />
make reference to:<br />
(a)<br />
(b)<br />
(c)<br />
(d)<br />
General conditions and special conditions of contract, specification and<br />
drawings;<br />
Preliminaries section of the Schedule (Bill) of Quantities;<br />
Standard method of measurement with particular reference to these General<br />
rules;<br />
Any exceptional conditions prevailing;<br />
(e) What the rates are to include (except as provided for in 0.6);<br />
(f)<br />
0.6 RATES<br />
Special insurances or other provisions relating to damage to adjacent<br />
property.<br />
0.6.1<br />
The rates for each item in the Schedule (Bill) of Quantities shall be deemed to<br />

Overhead costs and profit;<br />
Establishment;<br />
(9) Maintenance;<br />

Protection notwithstanding whether specified elsewhere in this Standard<br />
