34.4 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE<br />
34.4.1<br />
Raking and circular cutting shall be scheduled in metres.<br />
34.4.2<br />
Cutting and fitting around all openings and obstructions of less than 0.5 m2 shall be<br />
enumerated.<br />
34.4.3<br />
Work not exceeding 300 mm in width shall be measured in metres as extra value.<br />
This shall apply to all narrow widths except those in plane surfaces caused by<br />
openings and the like.<br />
34.4.4<br />
Turn-ups, borders, coves, and the like shall be measured in metres as extra value<br />
and the height or width stated. Internal and external angles shall be enumerated.<br />
34.4.5<br />
Fillets, timber coves, special edge fixings, threshold strips, and the like shall be<br />
measured in metres.<br />
34.4.6<br />
Nosings and coverings to treads, risers, and strings shall be measured in metres,<br />
stating size or girth.<br />
34.4.7<br />
Separate skirtings shall be measured in metres. Internal and external angles shall<br />
be enumerated as extra value.<br />
34.4.8<br />
Bench tops shall be measured in square metres and enumerated for each group of<br />
sizes as appropriate.<br />
34.4.9<br />
Moulded handrails shall be measured in metres. Changes of direction and terminals<br />
shall be enumerated as extra value.<br />
34.4.10<br />
Cleaning and/or polishing shall be measured in square metres.<br />
