SECTION 20 - PROPRIETARY PARTITIONS<br />
20.1 OVERVIEW<br />
Referto section O, General rules, which shall be read in conjunction with this section.<br />
20.2 PREAMBLES<br />
20.2.1<br />
Particulars shall be given of performance qualities required (e.g., Sound Rating, Fire<br />
Rating, Impact Testing, Loads etc).<br />
20.3 GENERAL PRINCIPLES<br />
20.3.1<br />
This section covers proprietary metal framed, flush finish or demountable partitions<br />
and off ice screens.<br />
20.3.2<br />
All work normally carried out or arranged by proprietary partition firms shall be<br />
included in this section of the schedule.<br />
20.3.3<br />
Partitions shall be described in accordance with the manufacturer's catalogue and/<br />
or as defined by the drawings and specifications.<br />
20.3.4<br />
Each type of partition shall be scheduled separately under a heading which gives the<br />
general description, height, thickness and any performance specifications to be met.<br />
20.3.5<br />
The description shall state whether flush stopped finish or demountable.<br />
20.3.6<br />
Curved walls shall be scheduled separately.<br />
20.4 MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE<br />

20.4.1<br />
Partitions shall be measured in metres.<br />
20.4.2<br />
The following shall be described and enumerated as extra value:<br />
(a)<br />
(b)<br />
Wall starters;<br />
Intersections and corners;<br />
(c)<br />
(d)<br />
(e)<br />
Fair ends:<br />
Doors and door frames;<br />
Isolated borrowed lights.<br />
20.4.3<br />
Hardware shall be scheduled in accordance with clause 17.4.1 2.<br />
