19.4.4 Fittings<br />
19.4.4.1<br />
The description of cupboards, benches, counter fitments and the like shall state the<br />
overall size and type of fittings with general details of number of doors, drawers, bins,<br />
shelving etc.<br />
19.4.4.2<br />
Detailed quantities shall be measured stating components as follows:<br />
19.4.5 Panei-work<br />
Bearers, toeboards, framing and the like in metres;<br />
Carcase, divisions and shelving in square metres, or metres with the widths<br />
stated:<br />
Clashing or edging strips in metres;<br />
Doors, bins, drawers, including any special runners, and the like enumerated;<br />
Special coverings and finishings shall be measured separately.<br />
19.4.5.1<br />
Framed panel-work and the like shall be measured in accordance with the principles<br />
of section 17.<br />
19.4.5.2<br />
Circular, spandrel, or specially shaped framed panelling shall be measured separately.<br />
19.4.5.3<br />
Interior and exterior angles to framed panelling shall be measured in metres and the<br />
number stated.<br />
19.4.6 Veneers<br />
Melamineveneered pressingsand the like, such as bench tops, shall be enumerated<br />
giving the size, details of substrate and edge treatment including upstands, openings<br />
and sinks bonded in.<br />
19.4.7 Other joinery<br />
Other joinery items not expressly included shall be measured and described in<br />
accordance with principles of this section.<br />
