35.4.2 Wallpaper and associated treatments<br />
35.4.2.1<br />
The type of material shall be described, and the description shall include sealing,<br />
pasting, and hanging and shall be measured in square metres.<br />
35.4.2.2<br />
Stripping of old work, scrimming, taping, repapering and the like shall be measured<br />
separately in square metres.<br />
35.4.2.3<br />
Borders, friezes and the like shall be measured in metres.<br />
35.4.3 Polishing<br />
35.4.3.1<br />
French polishing, fuming, wax polishing and the like shall be measured separately.<br />
Preparatory work and bodying-in shall be described with the items where they apply.<br />
35.4.3.2<br />
Frames, bars, handrails and the like shall be measured in metres. The description<br />
shall include the girth.<br />
35.4.4 Signwriting<br />
35.4.4.1<br />
Materials and workmanship shall be described.<br />
35.4.4.2<br />
Letters, figures, stops and the like shall be enumerated, described, and the size<br />
measured in millimetres.<br />
35.4.4.3<br />
Gilding shall be described and the height of letters or lines shall be stated. Gilding<br />
on surfaces shall be measured as the net surface area. Gilding to lines, mouldings,<br />
enrichments and the like shall be measured in metres.<br />
Ornaments and the like shall be enumerated.<br />
