6.5 DAMP-PROOF SHEETING
6.5.1
Damp-proof sheetings shall be measured in square metres of surface covered. The
description shall include material types, the number of layers, the width of laps and
any jointing required. Where the sheeting is adhered to a surface the nature of the
surface and the method of adhesion shall be described.
6.5.2
Turn-ups and turn-downs shall be measured in metres as extra value.
6.5.3
Penetrations in damp-proof sheetings shall be enumerated.
6.5.4
Permanent protection shall be measured in square metres.
6.6 DAMP-PROOF COATINGS
6.6.1
Damp-proof coatings shall be measured in square metresof surface covered and the
nature of the sub base stated. The description shall include material type, the number
of coats and the rates of cover.
6.6.2
Permanent protection shall be measured in square metres.
6.7 PRESTRESSED AND POST-TENSIONED WORK
6.7.1 General principles
6.7.1.1
Prestressed work shall be scheduled separately.
6.7.1.2
A general description of the prestressed work and of the system and method of
tensioning and jacking shall be stated.
6.7.1.3
The description shall include detailsof any temporary support to unitsand any testing
specified.
6.7.2 Measurement procedure
6.7.2.1
Detailed quantities shall be measured according to the appropriate sections of this
Standard Method of Measurement.
6.7.2.2
Formation of ducts shall be measured separately in metres.
6.7.2.3
Forming and filling of anchorage recesses shall be enumerated.
6.7.2.4
Supply of tendons (measured overall between anchorages) shall be given in
kilograms. Each size shall be measured separately.
