6.1 Characteristics of the Proposed Schemes
The Schemes for Strategic Action Plan were generated to support the goals and objectives (see Table 6.1)

In order to categorise the Schemes at operational level, five themes were identified based on the “functional
nature”. These themes include,
• Assessment and Development
• 3R Initiatives
• Infrastructure Development
• Awareness and Promotion
• Capacity Building and Partnerships
Such a thematic classification of Schemes is shown in Table 6.2 and Figure 6.2.
