Most of the law degrees are already taken by female students (for instance,
in 2007 63 % of the graduated were female). However, only three
out of the twelve full professors of the Faculty are women. In the teacher
corps as a whole, the situation is not remarkably more balanced: as of
1.1.2008, 29 % of the teachers at the Faculty were women.
The Faculty has prepared a plan for the years 2008–2009 to address the
gender problem. The plan aims at, among other things, increasing the
number of female teachers. Thus, for example, in the near future three
female part-time guest professors (in labour law, criminal law and legal
history) will be hired.
