Telephones for communication offsite are located in the main office of Valley Products<br />

Company.<br />

Response Resources<br />

EnSafe personnel are trained for response to onsite emergency situations involving <strong>assessment</strong><br />

accidents. The response equipment outlined below will be available during this <strong>assessment</strong>.<br />

Emergency Supplies:<br />

Goggles (plastic)<br />

1 First aid kit<br />

Latex gloves<br />

12.4 Pre-Emergency Planning<br />

During the daily site briefing, site workers will be trained in <strong>and</strong> reminded of the provisions of<br />

the emergency response <strong>plan</strong>, communications systems, <strong>and</strong> evacuation routes.<br />

12.5 Personnel Roles <strong>and</strong> Lines of Authority<br />

The EnSafe Health <strong>and</strong> Safety Coordinator has the primary responsibility for responding to <strong>and</strong><br />

correcting emergency situations that EnSafe personnel are associated with. This includes taking<br />

appropriate measures to ensure the <strong>safety</strong> of site personnel, facility personnel, <strong>and</strong> the public.<br />

Possible actions may involve evacuation of personnel from the site <strong>and</strong>/or site area, <strong>and</strong> the<br />

evacuation of personnel from adjacent facilities or residences.<br />

12.6 Emergency Recognition/Prevention<br />

Table 5-3 lists the mechanical, electrical, physical <strong>and</strong> temperature hazards associated with<br />

activities on this site. The MSDS for some of the suspected site contaminant have been included<br />

in the appendix to this <strong>plan</strong> <strong>and</strong> list the chemical <strong>and</strong> toxicological hazards.<br />
