GOVT 4383 Internship in Government<br />
Prerequisite: permission of instructor.<br />
Directed work experience in a variety of public and private organizations. The primary objective of this course is to<br />
provide students with opportunities to apply what they have learned in class in a career-oriented setting. Also provides<br />
students with the opportunity to attain applied research experience and develop analytic skills.<br />
GOVT 4392 Independent Research Projects<br />
Prerequisites: Permission of the instructor and department chair<br />
This course is designed to provide a mentoring experience for students interested in producing a research paper related<br />
to government/Government. The instructor will help students develop their research question and then will meet with<br />
them periodically throughout the semester to supervise the progress of their papers.<br />
GOVT 4393 Empirical Research Methods<br />
Prerequisites: Permission of the instructor<br />
An introduction to the basic research methods of Government including research design, data collection, and statistical<br />
analysis. This course is designed primarily for students considering graduate school in the social sciences or a career in<br />
government.<br />

GREK 2312 Greek Grammar I<br />
An introduction to the forms, vocabulary, and grammatical usage of Koine Greek designed to give the student the skills<br />
necessary for translation and analysis of the Greek New Testament.<br />
GREK 2322 Greek Grammar II<br />
Prerequisite GREK 2312 or permission of the instructor.<br />
A continuation of GREK 2312. An introduction to additional forms, vocabulary, and grammatical usage of Koine<br />
Greek designed to give the student the skills necessary for translation and analysis of the Greek New Testament.<br />
GREK 3311 Greek Reading and Syntax I<br />
Prerequisite: GREK 2312 and 2322 or permission of the instructor<br />
An intermediate study of Greek syntax with application to the translation and analysis of the Greek New Testament.<br />
GREK 4351 Greek Reading and Syntax II<br />
Prerequisite: GREK 2312 and 2322 and 3311 or permission of the instructor<br />
Advanced study of Greek syntax with application to the translation and analysis of the Greek New Testament.<br />
GREK 4352 Directed Studies in Greek<br />
Prerequisite: GREK 2312, 2322, 3311, and 4351 or permission of the instructor<br />
Advanced study of Greek literature of the Koine period. Course may be repeated only once and only if course topic<br />
and content differs.<br />
GREK 4393 Senior Seminar<br />
Prerequisites: GREK 2312, 2322, 3311 and 4351, or permission of the instructor.<br />
Directed studies in Greek literature of the Hellenistic age.<br />
GREK 5301 Greek I<br />
Greek I is a study of Koine Greek grammar and syntax for reading the Greek New Testament and selected extrabiblical<br />
literature.<br />
GREK 5302 Greek II<br />
Prerequisite: GREK 5301 or permission of the instructor.<br />
Greek II is an advanced study of Koine Greek grammar and syntax for reading and exegesis of the Greek New<br />
Testament and other selected literature.<br />
GREK 6301 Greek Studies I<br />
Prerequisite: GREK 5301 and 5302 or permission of the instructor<br />
Introductory studies in Greek grammar and syntax of select literature of the Koine period.<br />
GREK 6303 Greek Studies II<br />
Prerequisite: GREK 5301, 5302 and 6301 or permission of the instructor<br />
Intermediate studies in Greek grammar, syntax and linguistic approaches to select literature of the Koine period.<br />
