This class focuses on the development of the political, social, and cultural institutions in the British Isles and from the<br />

Glorious Revolution to the present.<br />

HIST 3376 History of the Ancient World<br />

Prerequisites: HIST 2311, 2312, 2313, 2323.<br />

This course is an in-depth study of the cultures of Western antiquity. This survey will include the ancient Near East,<br />

Greece, and Rome.<br />

HIST 3386 Europe in the Middle Ages: 476-1500<br />

Prerequisites: HIST 2311, 2312, 2313, 2323.<br />

This survey focuses on the political, social, and cultural developments in Western Europe from the fall of the western<br />

Roman Empire until the end of the fifteenth century.<br />

HIST 3396 Early Modern Europe: 1400-1815<br />

Prerequisites: HIST 2311, 2312, 2313, 2323.<br />

This course examines the political, social, and cultural events in Europe from the Renaissance and Reformation through<br />

the Age of Napoleon.<br />

HIST 4181, 4281, 4381 Special Topics<br />

Prerequisite: Permission of the instructor and the Dean of the College of Humanities.<br />

Directed study of a minimum of thirty clock hours for each hour of credit. Projects are selected based on student<br />

This course provides an introduction to the history of American law from the Declaration of Independence in 1776 to<br />
