C. Humanities Requirement: Humanities courses include eighteen (18) semester hours from at least three<br />
(3) of the following areas:<br />
(a) Foreign Language – six (6) hours in the same modern or Biblical language when taken at <strong>HBU</strong><br />
(b) Any History (2311, 2312, 2313, 2323)<br />
(c) Any English (2315, 2325, 3313, 3323, 3331, 3332)<br />
(d) Any Writing (2306, 3313, 3310, 3321, 3345, 3350, 3354, 3355, 3356)<br />
(e) Philosophy: (1313, 3313, 3323, 3344)<br />
(f) COMM 1323 is available students majoring in business, education, communication, and journalism<br />
and mass communication.<br />
D. Science Requirement: Four (4) semester hours of laboratory science are required for students pursuing a<br />
Bachelor of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, and a Bachelor of Business Administration<br />
degree. Eight (8) semester hours of laboratory science are required for the Bachelor of Science degree.<br />

Student may fulfill three (3) semester hours of the fine arts requirement by participation in a summer<br />
study-abroad program, when it is offered. Credit may be elected for ART 2343, Art Appreciation, ART<br />
3383 European Heritage in Art History, or MUSC 2312, Music Appreciation. The purpose of the<br />
academic tour is to provide the student with the opportunity to view the actual artifacts of history, inspect<br />
