8. Water supplies and adequate sanitation, undercover, must be available in or<br />
adjacent to the accommodation building.<br />
9. <strong>The</strong> programme must be submitted to the Group Leader for approval, before an<br />
Activity Intention Form is issued.<br />
10. A Kea Overnight Sleepover may also be arranged on an Regional or Zone basis<br />
under the supervision of an Regional or Zone Leader who shall submit an Activity<br />
Intention form to the person to whom they are responsible.<br />
28. PACK HOLIDAYS & CUB CAMPS<br />
Cubs may be taken for Pack Holidays provided they are accommodated for sleeping<br />
and for wet weather activities in a Group H.Q., Church Hall, School, or other suitable<br />
building and subject to the following conditions: -<br />
(a) <strong>The</strong>re must be at least one warranted Leader who holds a warranted<br />
appointment in the Cub Section and who has satisfactorily completed the Out<br />
and About Training Course - Cub Section.<br />
(b) Excluding the Leader, there must be one adult, Adult Leader or Instructor, for<br />
every six Cubs present. At least one of these must be competent in first aid.<br />
(c) Water supplies, indoors cooking facilities and adequate sanitation under cover<br />
must be available in the building or immediately adjacent to it.<br />
(d) Pack Holiday programmes, providing for both wet and dry weather, must be<br />
submitted to the Group Leader for approval before permission is given for the<br />
Pack Holiday.<br />
(e) Cooking must be done by adults additional to those in charge.<br />
(f) A prior knowledge of "Pack Holidays in New Zealand", as set out in the "Cub<br />
Leaders Handbook", is essential.<br />
(g) In respect of any Pack Holiday, the Group Leader may give permission for Cubs<br />
to sleep in tents, provided that: -<br />
(i) Alternative indoor accommodation (as specified above) is available.<br />
(ii) <strong>The</strong> Group Leader is completely satisfied with the leadership, equipment<br />
and accommodation and, in particular, that the tents to be used are in<br />
good condition.<br />
(iii) An Adult Leader, competent in camping is present for the duration of the<br />
Pack Holiday.<br />
(h) An application for an Activity Intention Form must be submitted to the Group<br />
Leader who must be satisfied that the above requirements have been met.<br />
29. PACK VISITS<br />
With the permission of the Group Leader, a Pack may visit a Pack in another Zone<br />
provided reasonable billeting facilities are made available and that the Zone Leader of<br />
the host Zone is notified of the intending visit.<br />
30. PACK PROJECT CERTIFICATES<br />
A Certificate which will lapses after two years, may be awarded by the Zone Leader. At<br />
the end of two years, the Pack may re-enter for the project and a new Certificate may<br />
be awarded. Individual Pack Project Certificates may be awarded for each of the<br />
following:-<br />
(a) Model Making: A model (to include background if required) of one of the<br />
following:-<br />
• One of the Mowgli Stories<br />
• Airport<br />
• Farmyard<br />
• Maori Pa<br />
