(vi) To appoint duly Warranted Leaders to positions in sections of the Group in<br />
accordance with rules for those appointments and to deal with the renewal<br />
of term warrants as set out in rule 45.<br />
(vii) To give approval for all activities for <strong>Scouts</strong> and Adult Leaders in the Scout<br />
Group.<br />
(viii) To recommend to the Zone Leader the suspension of any Adult Leader if<br />
considered unsatisfactory. <strong>The</strong> Group Leader will consult with the Group<br />
Council and Group Committee before making such a recommendation.<br />

A person to whom a warrant as G.L. has been issued may, if the. Zone Leader<br />
approves, also take charge of any one Section of the Group, but an additional<br />
warrant for the rank concerned need not be applied for.<br />
87. ASSISTANT GROUP LEADER<br />

Appointment: Assistant Group Leaders are appointed by the Group Leader after<br />
Adult Leader warrants have been issued by National Office in accordance with<br />
Part C, and approval by the Zone Leader, when in the opinion of the Zone<br />
Leader, such an appointment is justified by the size of the Group.<br />
<strong>The</strong> special qualifications for a warrant as A.G.L. are similar to those specified (in<br />
<strong>Rule</strong> 86) for a warrant as G.L.<br />
An Assistant Group Leader may, if the Zone Leader approves, also take charge<br />
of any one Section of the Group, but an additional warrant for the rank<br />
concerned need not be applied for.<br />
88. GROUP CHAPLAIN<br />
(a) Any clergyman or, with the approval of the Minister or other local church<br />
authority, any other person, may be appointed as a Group Chaplain. A warrant<br />
will be issued in accordance with Part C.<br />
(b)<br />
<strong>The</strong> duty of the Group Chaplain shall be to generally foster the fulfilment of the<br />
religious obligations of Adult Leaders and <strong>Scouts</strong> by: -<br />

Promoting training in respect for my God<br />
Generally monitoring <strong>Scouts</strong> Owns - to check that the form of these is<br />
appropriate and that they are held<br />
(iii) By fostering loyal co-operation between Clergy and Adult Leaders, realising<br />
that camping and outdoor activities are essential parts of training, and<br />
making allowances for these in the demands on <strong>Scouts</strong>, while recognising<br />
the obligations to their own Churches.<br />
89. COMPOSITION<br />
(a) <strong>The</strong> complete Group consists of a Kea Club, Cub Pack, Scout Troop and<br />
Venturer Unit but a Group may at any time consist of one or more<br />
Sections.<br />
(b)<br />
One or more Clubs, Packs, Troops or Units may be included in any one Group.<br />
