Sponsorship does not carry the duties, responsibilities or powers as provided for<br />

Affiliated Groups. However a Group may be Affiliated and Sponsored by the<br />

same entity.<br />

99. SECTIONS OF GROUPS<br />

(a) <strong>The</strong> registration of additional sections is not necessary but the Zone Leader<br />

should be advised when a new section is formed.<br />

(b) <strong>The</strong> Group Leader must notify the Zone Leader before any section goes into<br />

recess.<br />

Any Section of a Group may be disbanded or suspended by the Zone Leader. <strong>The</strong><br />

procedure to be observed throughout is similar to that laid down in the case of<br />

Groups except that the matter is concluded locally, and no report is made to<br />

National Office<br />

<strong>The</strong> Sections deliver an approved programme to youth members in the following<br />

groupings: -<br />

Note: Movement to another section (or programme) will occur as a result of<br />

discussion between the Kea, their parents/caregivers and the Adult Leaders<br />

concerned.<br />

To facilitate the Link process Leaders should give youth members an opportunity to<br />

spend some time (3 to 6 weeks) attending both their current and future programme<br />

meetings.<br />

100. THE GROUP COUNCIL<br />

(a) Where the Group consists of two or more Sections, the Adult Leaders of the<br />

Sections will meet regularly to discuss matters affecting the Group. Such<br />

meeting is called the "Group Council".<br />

(b)<br />

<strong>The</strong> G.L. will be Chairman of the Group Council.<br />
