provided to the Chief Executive prior to the event taking place. If in the opinion<br />

of the Chief Executive the budget is not acceptable he/she may cancel the event.<br />

(d)<br />

<strong>The</strong> Organising Committee, Director or Contingent Leader will account to<br />

National Office for all monies received and paid and submit Financial Reports<br />

within three months of the conclusion of the event unless an extension of time is<br />

agreed to by the Chief Executive.<br />

(e) Any surplus of income over expenditure from an event, school or overseas<br />

contingent will be allocated for the development or operation of Scouting as<br />

determined by the Chief Executive and approved by the National Executive<br />

Committee.<br />

(f)<br />

Any resources, equipment or other items of value purchased on behalf of the<br />

event, school or contingent that have not been used should be recorded and put<br />

into secure storage to be made available for future events, schools and<br />

contingents.<br />

141. EVENT, SCHOOL, OVERSEAS CONTINGENT REPORTS<br />

<strong>The</strong> Organising Committee, Director or Overseas Contingent Leader shall furnish to<br />

National Office within three months of the conclusion of the event, unless otherwise<br />

agreed with the Chief Executive, all relevant records pertaining to the event together<br />

with a final report including all information of value to any future Organising<br />

Committee, Director or Overseas Contingent Leader.<br />

142. INSURANCE<br />

Suitable and adequate insurance must be effected through the National Office to cover<br />

all reasonable contingencies, including full insurance on all requisitioned, borrowed or<br />

hired equipment and trading items.<br />
