The date <strong>of</strong> his death is not exactly fi.\cd, but <strong>the</strong> l.l^t reference to him :is<br />

liv<strong>in</strong>g is dated 30 April 1632, when lie is <strong>ca</strong>utioner to <strong>the</strong> eimlirmatioii <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> will<br />

<strong>of</strong> his bro<strong>the</strong>r James' wife. Christian Lovell [B.T. II) and <strong>the</strong> tii-st meiiti<strong>in</strong>i <strong>of</strong><br />

him as deceased is on 9 Oct. I(i34, when James, son <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> late David \\'e>ldeibiirii<br />

resigns a land <strong>in</strong> Dundee (D.P.B. 434).- After his death, wiiich thus oecurred<br />

1632-34, <strong>the</strong>re are several references to him ei<strong>the</strong>r <strong>in</strong> eonneetion with his sou<br />

James who uas his heir '.see below) or <strong>in</strong> regard to lands oiiee his ('ter <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> pages <strong>of</strong> his<br />

Cmnpt Bulk (D.W. 14, 15). They numbered <strong>in</strong> all eleven ciiildren, four sons and<br />

seven daughters :<br />

1. David <strong>Wedderburn</strong> [1599-1620?], bom <strong>in</strong> D<strong>in</strong>ulee 7 Sept., and baptized<br />

<strong>the</strong>re 9 Seiit. 1599 (D.W. 14 f, 15 e). He died probably <strong>in</strong> ehildh.Kxl, and<br />

certa<strong>in</strong>ly s.])., before 11 Nov. 1G23, when James is <strong>ca</strong>lled liix fa<strong>the</strong>r's<br />

eldest son (D.P B. 429-30), and later on, 9-Feb. 1613, his iieir (F.S. 12).<br />
