1563 {ib.M-, i., 2-1: a), and <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> charter <strong>of</strong> Dudhope <strong>in</strong> 1565. He married Agues Bruce,-<br />

who is named as " relict <strong>of</strong> John Scrymgeour <strong>of</strong> Kirktoun," e.fj., <strong>in</strong> her will, dated 28 June<br />

1590 {lb. VI., ii., 18). By her John Scrymgeour had issue three sous, and, accord<strong>in</strong>g to<br />

Douglas, three daughters, Margaret, Isohel, and Egidia. Of <strong>the</strong> sous, <strong>the</strong> two youu;,'er were<br />

(named immediately after his bro<strong>the</strong>r Johu iu <strong>the</strong> charter <strong>of</strong> Dudhope, 1587 ; and<br />

d.s.p.) and George, who also d s.p , while <strong>the</strong> eldest was<br />

John Scrymgeour, who is named <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> charter <strong>of</strong> Dudliope <strong>of</strong> 1587, and was<br />
