Figure 4.27 Geometry and Flow Combinations for Plan Configurations in RASAfter the current plan file is found in the project file registry, theGDB2RASDSS application reads the current plan file in turn to find the registeredflow file. That registered flow file corresponds to the default flow file that will beused during HEC-RAS execution (unless the graphical user interface is used tochange the default settings). After the flow file in the current plan file is found, the GDB2RASDSS application rewrites the current flow file based on the newflow information coming from the Map2Map integration scheme. This way, theregistered flow file is rewritten with a new definition derived from theprecipitation event being transformed and ingested by the Map2Map workflow.Once the current flow file is updated, the application uses a FORTRANDSS subroutine that writes regular time series into HEC-DSS, the ZSRTSsubroutine (Store Regular-Interval Time Series Data). This subroutine writes anew DSS binary file using the 2-D arrays containing the time series DSSdescriptors and the time series values. The subroutine has been incorporated into144
