The water surface elevations obtained from the HEC-RAS simulation forthe cross section “Rosillo, Upper, 96343.20” in Figure 4.38 gets populated inCrossSection feature class and under the PF_1 profile elevation field (see Figure4.39). In a similar manner, all the water surface elevations for the remaining crosssections in the hydraulic model are populated in the associated cross section tablerecord. All the cross sections in HEC-RAS get a corresponding water surfaceelevation and they are identified in Arc Hydro by means of the RASCode whosecomponents (Stream, Reach, and Station) are also present in the source XML file.Figure 4.39 HEC-RAS Output in Arc HydroThus, the XML2GDB application uses the XML file created from theHEC-RAS output SDF file to update the attributes in the CrossSection featureclass that describes water surface elevation.
