This resolution is usually a 20 feet square grid resolution or less.The selected raster DEM must be available to Map2Map by placing it at the“C:\Map2Map\Grids_TINs” directory location. Make sure the DEM has the sameprojection used in the Arc Hydro geodatabase.12 Update the Dataset Locations in ModelBuilderNow that you have made available to Map2Map all the datasets pertaining to yourvery own study area it is time to change all the input source locations andparameters to reference the data and parameters of your own project.To change the input source locations and parameters in Map2Map the user canuse ArcCatalog or ArcMap to open the Map2Map Model as described in section3.7. Once the Map2Map model is open the user can manually change all theinputs (datasets and parameters). This task needs to be done in two ways. First theuser needs to modify the default parameter setup of all the script tools (userdefinedtools) as shown in the Figure below. In this example the user has selectedthe script tool “Radar2GDB” and selected its properties from the right click menu.Once the Properties window is open, the user needs to select each parameter nameand change the default value of each property as shown below for the Target GDBproperty name. That is the user needs to make sure the properties reflect the newinput dataset that wants to be implemented. For this example the user must change“C:\Map2Map\RosilloFull.mdb” by “C:\Map2Map\MyBasin.mdb.”212
Second, the user needs to modify the default parameter setup of all the standardtools (GIS hammer tools) as shown in the Figure below by right clicking on the“yellow rectangle”, selecting “Open” and then modifying the name and locationof the input datasets (remapping your new input locations) or assigning the valueof the new input parameters. An example is shown below for the “Edit TIN”standard tool which has been open and its parameters have been change to reflectthe new basin information and locations.It is a good idea and practice to double check all the oval’s inputs including notonly the blue ovals but also the internally generated green ovals to make sure theyconform to your project.After all the input has been remapped the user may open the Map2Map Modeland select “Model” and then select “Validate Entire Model” to insure the modelimplements all the new inputs of the new basin. This is shown in the Figurebelow.213
