MARCH 3, 1758111Mr. Manigault presented to the House (according to Order) “a bill vestingAshley Ferry in Trustees for the Use of the Public; and for Keeping theCausey Leading to the said Ferry in repair” and the same was received andread the first time.Resolved that the Bill be read a Second Time.Resolved upon the Question that this House will next Thursday readthe said Bill a Second time.And then the House Adjourned ’till to morrow Morning Ten of the Clock.Friday the 3d of March 1758.The Journal of Yesterdays Proceedings was read.And the House Proceeded to take the Second Report from the Committeeappointed to Audit the Accounts of the Public Creditors into Consideration.And the Several Articles of the said Report from No. 101 to No. 257, beingSeverally read a Second time.[Here follows the complete text of the report, being virtually an exact copy of theprevious text entered in the journal for February 8, 1758.]The House Agreed to the first, No. 101, on an Account of Henry Hartley,The 2d, No. 102, on an Account of Josiah Horton, the 3d, No. 103, on an Accountof Christopher Holson & the 4th, No. 104, on an Account of Willm.Eddings.The 5th, No. 105, on an Account of William Heatly amounting to £171:10was disagreed with by the House.Resolv’d that the Said Account be provided for.The 6th, No. 106, on an Account of John Frentz, the 7th, No. 107, onan Account of Daniel Droze & the 8th, No. 108, on an Account of Wm.Matthewes were Severally Agreed to by the House.The 9th, No. 109, on an Account of Henry Kennan was disagreed withby the House.Resolv’d that the said Account amounting to £13:17:6 be provided for.The 10th, No. 110, on a Certificate in favour of Hugh McCutchin, the11th, No. 111, on an Account of Samuel Moore, the 12th, No. 112, on an Accountof James Marion, the 13th, No. 113, on an Order in favour of JamesLadson, the 14th, No. 114, on an Account of Samuel Jeanes, the 15th, No. 115,on an Account of Mary Langley, the 16th, No. 116, on an Order assign’d toRobert Pringle Esqr., the 17th, No. 117, on An Account of McIntosh &Johnson, the 18th, No. 118, on An Account of Charles McLean and the 19th,No. 119, on An Account of John Spencer were Severally agreed to by the House.On Reading The 20th, No. 120, on an Account of Daniel Pepper, agentto the Creek Indians,
