JUNE 4, 1760613The Committee find that the Number of Certificates issued in 1759 forthe payment of the Estimate annexed to the Tax Law for the Year ending 25thMarch 1758 were 1550, amounting to £74167, of which the Treasurer produced115 amounting to £5508, which the Committee with a Committee of the Councilhave burnt to Ashes so that there remains 1435 of those Certificatesamounting to £68,659, to be brought into the Treasury to be exchanged andSunk.The Committee find that the Number of Tax Certificates issued in 1758for payment of the Estimate for charges of Government ending the 25thMarch 1757 were 2700, amounting to £129,381; of which the Treasurer hathproduced 1574, amounting to £75,258; which the Committee, with a Committeeof the Council, have burnt to Ashes; so that there remains 1126 of thoseCertificates, amounting to £54,123, to be brought into the Treasury to be exchangedand sunk.By the Report of the last Committee on the Treasurer’s Accounts, therewas outstanding 1207 of the Tax Certificates, amounting to £58,581, issued in1757, of which the Treasurer has produced 838, amounting to £40,492, whichthe Committee, with a Committee of the Council, have burnt; so that thereis still outstanding of those Certificates 919, amounting to £18,089, to bebrought into the Treasury to be exchanged and sunk.By the Report of the said last Committee, there was outstanding 472 TaxCertificates, amounting to £19,799, issued in 1756; of which the Treasurer produced317, amounting to £13767, which the Committee, with a Committee ofthe Council, have burnt; so that there remains 155 of those Certificates, amountingto £6032, to be brought into the Treasury to be exchanged and sunk.The Committee also find by the said last Report that there were 110 TaxCertificates, amounting to £5837, issued in 1755, still outstanding; of which theTreasurer produced 81 amounting to £3854 which the Committee and a Committeeof the Council burnt so that there remains 29 amounting to £1983 tobe brought into the Treasury to be exchanged and sunk.The Committee also find by the said Report that there were outstanding7 of Tax Certificates amounting to £226 that were issued in 1754 of whichthe Treasurer produced 7 amounting to £226, which, the Committee and aCommittee of the Council have burnt.The Committee with a Committee of the Council have burnt £2500 ofthe Orders issued for building St. Michael’s Church.The Committee and a Committee of the Council have burnt £2500 ofthe Orders issued for building the State House.The Committee find by the said last Report that there was a Balance of£472:10 to be brought into the Treasury to be exchanged of the £63000 Ordersissued in the Year 1742 of which the Treasurer produced two Orders of
