MARCH 7, 1758113to Inspect the several Laws for Establishing Ferries in this Province.Ordered That the Clerk of this House do write Letters to the Severalabsent Members to require their immediate Attendance (& all Excuses beingLaid aside) upon the Service of the House.Resolv’d that Such Letters be Sent to the said Members at their ownExpence.And then the House adjournd ’till to Morrow afternoon Five of theClock.Saturday the 4th of March 1758. P.M.Mr. Speaker adjourn’d the House till Monday afternoon Five O’Clock.Monday the 6th of March 1758. P.M.Mr. Speaker adjourned the House till To Morrow Morning Ten of theClock.Tuesday the 7th of March 1758.The Journal of Fridays Proceedings was read.According to Order the following Message was drawn, Vizt.Honorable Gentlemen,This House hath appointed a Committee to See Such Paper Bills ofCredit, Orders for Payment of Money & Tax Certificates as are now Lyingin the Treasurers Hands cancelled & destroyed, pursuant to the Directionsof the several Laws by which the Same were respectively Issued. And we desireThat your Honours will appoint some of the Members of your Board toJoin our said Committee for that Purpose.The Committee are Mr. Guerard, Mr. Middleton, Mr. Laurens, Mr.Faucheraud, Mr. McQueen, Mr. Glover, Mr. Graeme.Ordered That Mr. Guerard do Carry the Message to the Council.Mr. Lamboll reported From the Committee appointed to inspect theSeverall Laws for Establishing Ferries in this Province & to report which ofthe said Laws are Expired or near Expiring, and to Enquire what may be theAnnual Income of the said Ferrys & to report the Same as it Appears to themto the House, that the Committee had inspected the said Laws & made theirInquiry which they had in Charge & had directed him to report the same,as it appears to them, to the House & he read the Report in his Place & afterwardsdelivered it in at the Clerks Table where the same was read & is asfollows, viz.
