594 COMMONS JOURNAL, FEBRUARY 4, 1760–AUGUST 6, 1760And then the House adjourned till to-morrow Morning Ten of theClock.Saturday the 31st Day of May 1760.Read the Journals of Yesterday’s Proceedings.Mr. Wragg presented to the House (according to Order) “A Bill to preventthe Exportation of Grain and other Provisions from the Province ofSouth-Carolina for the Term therein mentioned”; and the same was receivedand read the first time.Resolved, That the Bill be read a Second time.Resolved, That this House will, next Monday Morning, read the said Billa second time.The House resumed the adjourned Consideration of the Residue of theReport from the Committee to whom the several Public Accounts were referred.And the Articles of the Report No. 234 & 235 being severally read a secondTime were severally agreed to by the House.The Article No. 236 on a Certificate in favour of Christian Theus, whichthe Committee submit to the Consideration of the House, being read a Secondtime,Resolved, That £23:7 be provided to pay the said Christian Theus.The Articles No. 237, 238, 239, 240, 241, 242, & 243 being severally read asecond time, were severally agreed to by the House.The 244th Article on an Account of Charles Faucheraud Esqr. beingread a Second time, was, upon the Question being put thereupon, agreedto by the House.The 245th & 246th Articles being severally read a Second time, were severallyagreed to by the House.The 247th on an Account of Henry Lucas, being read a Second time,was disagreed with by the House.The Articles No. 248, 249, 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 255, 256, 257, 258, 259, 260,261, 262, 263, 264, being severally read a second time were severally agreed toby the House.The Article No. 265 on a Certificate in favour of Andrew Williamson forthe Sum of £4552 being read a Second time.Ordered, That a Committee be appointed to inquire into the Conductof Mr. Joseph Nutt during the Time he acted as Commissary on the late Expeditionagainst the Cherokee Indians of the following Gentlemen, vizt., Mr.Taylor, Mr. Lamboll, Mr. Mazyck, Mr. Wragg, Mr. Rattray.Ordered, That the Certificate in favour of the said Andrew Williamsonbe referred to the consideration of the said Committee.
