MARCH 27, 1759359Pounds Sterling be inserted in the Schedule, as a Salary for Mr. Crokatt’sServices as Agent.It passed in the Negative.Resolved that the Sum of One hundred Ninety three Pounds, three Shillings,be inserted in the said Schedule, To William Henderson for the Hireof a House for a Free School.Resolved that the Sum of Five hundred Ninety four Pounds be insertedin the Schedule to Peter Crim for 33 head of Cattle delivered at FortLoudoun.Resolved that the Sum of One hundred and Seven Pounds Ten Shillingsbe inserted in the said Schedule to Peter Bacott for Captain Stuart’s Certificateto John Friday.Resolved that the Sum of Seven hundred Pounds be inserted in the saidSchedule, to the Commissioners appointed for building a Church in SaintMark’s Parish, toward building the said Church;And the said Sums were severally inserted in the Schedule accordingly.And the House having made some Progress therein,Resolved that the further Consideration thereof be Postponed.And then the House adjourned till to Morrow Afternoon five of the Clock.Saturday the 24th Day of March 1759. P.M.Mr. Speaker adjourned the House till Monday Afternoon five of the Clock.Monday the 26th Day of March 1759.Mr. Speaker adjourned the House till to Morrow Morning Ten of the Clock.Tuesday the 27th Day of March 1759.The Journal of last Friday’s Proceedings was read.The House proceeded to give the Residue of the Schedule to be annexedto the Tax Bill for the Year Ending the 31st of December 1758 Inclusive,A Second Reading.A Motion was made and the Question being put that the Sum of SixtyEight Pounds five Shillings and three Pence be added to the Sum of Twothousand and Seventy five Pounds One Shilling and two Pence, reported bythe Committee to whom the Accounts of the Creditors of the Public werereferred, to be due McCarten and Campbell on the Recommitment of theirAccount, and to be allowed accordingly in the said Schedule;It passed in the Negative.
