That is to say,1st. “An Act for the better regulating the Militia of this Province andfor repealing &ca.” passed the 13th of June 1747. Revived the 14th of May 1755,for 3 Years.2d. An Additional and Explanatory Clause to the said Act about Fines,Contained in the said Reviving Act of the 14th of May 1755.3d. “An Act to regulate the Price and Assize of Bread” passed the 16thof March 1749[/50]. Revived the 16th of May 1752 for 6 Years.4th. “An Act for Regulating the making of Dams or Banks for reservingWater where the Same may affect the Propertys of other Persons,” passedthe 29th of May 1744. Revived the 16th of May 1752 for 6 Years.5th. “An Act for Establishing a Market in the Parish of St. Philip CharlesTown and for preventing Engrossing, forestalling, Regretting and unjustExactions in the said Town & Market,” passed the 11th of April 1739. Revivedthe 16th of May 1752.6th. “An Act for making more useful Fort Johnson and Fort Frederickand the Usual Look-Outs that now are or shall hereafter be kept or establishednear any of the Inletts in this Province,” passed the 5th Day of April1740. Revived the 14th of June 1751 for 7 Years.7th. “An Act for rendering and making the Office of Constable moreEasy and less expensive to the Persons concerned” passed the 8th of March1741[/42]. Revived the 14th of June 1751 for 7 Years.8th. An Act Intitled “an Additional Act to An Act Intitled ‘an Act forthe better regulating Taverns and Punch Houses,’” passed the 8th Day ofMarch 1741[/42]. Revived the 14th of June 1751 for 7 Years.Ordered That it be an Instruction to the said Committee that they havePower to prepare and insert a Clause in the Reviving Bill to apply the Moniesarising by the said Additional Act, instead of discharging the AdditionalPay granted by this Government to His Majesty’s Independant Companysdoing Duty in this Province, to such Uses, as the General Assembly shall hereafterappoint and direct.That the Proviso annexed to the Eleventh Clause of the said AdditionalAct, giving Power to the Governor and Commander in Chief of this Provincefor the time being with the Advice and Consent of His Majesty’s Council, toLimit the Number of Tavern Licences be revived and Continued.
