4.*2 EPA 8015M4 - EXTRACTABLE HYDROCARBON:<br />

All samples were extracted and analyzed within<br />

method holding time.<br />

All QC results were acceptable.<br />

Samples B06D36 and B06D37 contained a hydrocarbon<br />

mixture that has the chromatographic pattern of a<br />

combination of kerosene and diesel products. Each<br />

section of the chromatogramn was quantitated against<br />

the appropriate standard separately.<br />

Because of overlapping of late eluting gasoline<br />

compounds the MS and MSD were calculated by taking<br />

the sum of the area counts of five individual<br />

compounds and comparing this area to the sum of the<br />

area counts of the same peaks from the continuing<br />

calibration.<br />

4.3 EPA 8015M4 - PURGEABLE HYDROCARBONS:<br />

All samples were analyzed within method holding<br />

time. All QC results were acceptable.<br />

Due to the high concentration of Kerosene range<br />

hydrocarbons in the samples, one gram was extracted<br />

with 10 mL of Methanol and 50 uL of Methanol purged.<br />

This resulted in a dilution factor of 1000:1. No<br />

gasoline range compounds were found in the samples.<br />

A Methanol Blank has been included in the package.<br />

4.4 EPA 8020 - STEX:<br />

All samples were analyzed within method holding<br />

time.<br />

All QC results were acceptable.<br />

Due to the high concentration of background<br />

hydrocarbons the samples were extracted with<br />

Methanol (1:10) and 50 uL of Methanol purged. This<br />

resulted in a dilution factor of 1000:1. Results of<br />

a Methanol Blank have been included in the package.<br />

All Toluene hits were confirmed by GCMS.<br />
