Ar 145—motion Graphics<br />
Introduction to the fundamentals of<br />
motion graphics design. This projectbased<br />
course will explore video<br />
compositing, editing, animation, and<br />
graphic effects from both a technological<br />
and aesthetic perspective. Students will<br />
not need to own a video camera. The<br />
software used will be Adobe After Effects.<br />

Ar 205—3-d Graphics and Animation<br />
This course is designed to provide students<br />
who have some computer graphics<br />
knowledge with the ability to create art<br />
work in the 3-D computer environment.<br />
Students will learn to create their own<br />
models, create surfaces for the models,<br />
set up lighting and cameras, and fnally<br />
render still illustrations and animations. (3<br />
semester hours) Fall<br />
Ar 206—Ceramics sculpture<br />
Introduces students to large clay sculpture<br />
techniques. The principal project in this<br />
course is the creation of a life-size human<br />
portrait. Prerequisite for Fine Art Majors:<br />

Ar 218—Fine Arts Seminar<br />
This course is designed to develop the<br />
inventive abilities of students beyond<br />
the foundation level. Students will be<br />
mentored through a series of individually<br />
directed weekly assignments designed<br />
to promote inventive art-making. There<br />
will be group discussions of works-inprogress,<br />
in-class presentations, and<br />
visits to museums and art exhibitions.<br />
There will be production of artwork that<br />
can be utilized for portfolio purposes.<br />

A course in digital photographic<br />
manipulation and design, intended for<br />
students who already possess a basic<br />
understanding of computer graphics.<br />

manipulate, and enhance digital images<br />
using current computer technology.<br />
Prerequisite: AR 140. (3 semester hours)<br />

Ar 245—Web Page design<br />
In this course students will learn to<br />
build well-designed, organized, and<br />
functional web sites. They will critique<br />
and develop solutions for a variety of<br />
client types. Software used will be Adobe<br />
Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Illustrator.<br />
Prerequisite: AR 140. (3 semester hours)<br />

Ar 250—Art for Game design<br />
This course is designed to introduce<br />
students to the fundamentals of creating<br />
artwork and models for use in computer<br />
games. Students will investigate<br />
production techniques such as low-poly<br />
modeling, UVW mapping, creating<br />
textures, animating, and other aspects<br />
of game art creation. Programs used<br />
will be 3ds Max and Adobe Photoshop.<br />
Prerequisite: AR 205. (3 semester hours)<br />

AUtomotive<br />
Au 117—Gas and Diesel Engines<br />
Operational principles of the internal<br />
combustion engine will be discussed<br />
and include gasoline and diesel units.<br />
Emphasis is placed on proper use<br />
of precision measuring equipment,<br />
specialty tools, manuals, and diagnostic<br />
evaluations. Location and interpretation<br />
