new York state Programs<br />
Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)<br />
• New York State residents who are<br />
matriculated in an approved program<br />
and are attending full time (12 or more<br />
credits required in their program) may<br />
be eligible for TAP.<br />
• Part-time students with disabilities may<br />
have the full-time requirement waived<br />
with clearance from the Director for<br />
the Offce of Special Services.<br />
• Students should complete the Free<br />
Application for Federal Student Aid<br />
(FAFSA) or the Renewal Application<br />
on line at www.FAFSA.gov and use<br />
the Title IV code 006789 to identify<br />
C-<strong>GCC</strong>. At the end of the FAFSA<br />
application, NYS students applying to<br />
NY schools will be directed to a link to<br />
complete the TAP application. C-<strong>GCC</strong><br />
Tap Code is 2038.<br />
• Award certifcates are mailed/emailed<br />
to students approximately twelve<br />
weeks after the application is received.<br />
• To be eligible for payment of<br />
accelerated summer study for less<br />
than full-time but at least half-time<br />
study, students must earn 24 credits<br />
(excluding transitional courses) in<br />
the prior 2 semesters, be enrolled full<br />
time during the regular academic year,<br />
and be matriculated in an approved<br />
program in New York State. This<br />
requirement can be satisfed in either<br />
the preceding spring term or the<br />
subsequent fall term.<br />
