All new full-time and part-time<br />
matriculated students are notifed by mail<br />
of the orientation date(s) and agenda. Nonmatriculated<br />
students are also welcome to<br />
attend.<br />
There is a mandatory, 1-day Nursing<br />
Orientation program in August for all<br />
students entering NU 101. See the Nursing<br />
Program section of this catalog for more<br />
information.<br />
Adult student orientation<br />
An Adult Student Orientation is offered<br />
at the beginning of the fall and spring<br />
semesters. Typically the orientation is held<br />
in the evening to accommodate the adult<br />
learners.<br />
Health services/<strong>College</strong> nurse<br />
The <strong>College</strong> Nurse is located in Room<br />
200B. Services provided include:<br />
emergency frst aid, disease prevention<br />
education, assistance with referrals<br />
to medical/healthcare providers and<br />
strategies to manage illnesses while on<br />
campus. In addition, a limited number<br />
of over-the-counter oral medications<br />
are available. Immunization records<br />
are reviewed and fled in the Health<br />
Services Offce. Student athletes’<br />
physical evaluations, as well as nursing<br />
and massage therapy students’ health<br />
assessments, are also reviewed and<br />
maintained in the Health Services<br />
Offce. Immunization transcripts for<br />
students transferring to other colleges<br />
can be provided upon receipt of written<br />
authorization. Informative materials on<br />
various health-related topics are available.<br />
The Health Services Offce may be<br />
reached at extension 3202. In the event<br />
of a medical emergency in the Nurse’s<br />
absence, contact Security by calling the<br />
switchboard operator.<br />

sexual Harassment Policy<br />
Sexual harassment is against the law and a<br />
violation of the non-discriminatory policy<br />
of <strong>Columbia</strong>-<strong>Greene</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>.<br />
Harassment on the basis of sex is a<br />
violation of federal law, including Section<br />
703 of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act<br />
of 1964 and Title IX of the Education<br />
Amendments of 1972. It is also a violation<br />
of New York State’s human rights law.<br />
Sexual harassment, like harassment, based<br />
on race, color, national origin, or religion,<br />
will not be condoned by <strong>Columbia</strong>-<strong>Greene</strong><br />
<strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong>, whether it occurs<br />
in our educational programs or at our<br />

Crime statistics<br />
<strong>Columbia</strong>-<strong>Greene</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />
complies with the United States<br />
Department of Education, Title 20 of<br />
the U.S. Code Section 1092 (f), Chapter<br />
597, Article 129-A. The Offce of the<br />
Vice President and Dean of Students and<br />
Enrollment Management, as well as The<br />
Offce of Security, will provide upon<br />
request all campus crime statistics as<br />
reported to the United States Department of<br />
Education. The Department of Education is<br />
committed to assisting schools in providing<br />
students with a safe environment in which<br />
to learn and to keep parents and students<br />
well informed about campus security.<br />
