2009 – 2013 FINA SYNCHRONISED SWIMMING MANUALFOR JUDGES, COACHES & REFEREESSECTION IC. FINA SYNCHRONISED SWIMMING EVALUATORSPOLICIES AND PROCEDURES1. The FINA Synchronised Swimming Evaluators List shall be composed ofthe following persons:- Current TSSC members who have a current or previous A Judgestatus- Persons from the previous TSSC who have a current or previous AJudge status- FINA A List Judges who have held this status for at least two yearsand are nominated by their Federation. (maximum of 2 perFederation)- Previous FINA A List Judges Nominated by their Federation.NOTE: Evaluators must attend a FINA Judges School and pass the testonce every four years. Evaluators must attend Evaluator Seminars asrequested.2. Federations hosting a competition may invite, at the Federation’s expense,a FINA sanctioned Evaluator. Federations are requested to notify the FINAOffice of the name and date of the competition and the name of the invitedEvaluator.3. Only TSSC members are eligible for appointment by FINA as Evaluators atFINA Events and Continental/Area Championships.4. Procedures are as follows:- Evaluators are expected to attend all Technical meetings andJudges Meetings during the competition.- Evaluators should be seated on the deck or on the judge’s platformduring competition.- Evaluators unofficially judge every session to compare their scoreswith those of the judges being evaluated.- Judges‘ meetings for the purpose of feedback are held at theconclusion of each session if appropriate, or following finals.- Evaluators should ensure they receive the postal addresses of alljudges, and their e-mail addresses where possible.- Copies of the completed evaluations shall be sent to the Data BaseManager within 60 days of the completion of the competition.- Evaluators should retain the originals of the completed evaluationforms.2009 – 2013 FINA Synchronised Swimming Manual for Judges, Coaches & Referees 16
