variation in the proportion of burglaries that were committed during the evening (mean = 0.20,SD=0.07, N=52) before the start of the pilot, and that over time the overall trend was ever so slightlyupwards. Following the start of the pilot, and particularly from September onwards, the proportion ofburglaries committed during the evening dropped (mean = .11, SD=0.04, N=7); the monthly variationobserved also decreased.
