PRO<br />

Ninth-year offensive lineman who returns for his second stint with the Lions after beginning his career in Detroit as a<br />

fourth-round draft pick (117th overall) in 2007. Spent the last four seasons with the Denver Broncos (2011-14) and has<br />

started 58 of his 67 career games in the NFL. Has also started in four of the seven postseason games he has played in.<br />

2014: Started all 16 regular season games for the second-consecutive season, including at center for the first eight games<br />

before making the switch to the starting right guard for the final eight regular season games. Member of a Broncos offensive<br />

line that helped Denver allow the fewest sacks (17) in the NFL while also ranking fourth in total offense (402.9 yards per game).<br />

2013: Opened all 16 regular season games and all three playoff contests at center for the Broncos and was a key cog in<br />

an offensive line unit that allowed the fewest sacks in the NFL (20), as well as the most games allowing zero sacks (six).<br />

‣ ¾ Part of an offensive line group that received a collective Offensive Player of the Week honor by Sports Illustrated’s<br />

Peter King for its performance in which it allowed zero sacks and zero quarterback hits against the NFL’s top-ranked<br />

defense vs. Kansas City (11/17).<br />

‣ ¾ Offensive line held the Patriots to zero sacks and zero quarterback hits in Denver’s AFC Championship Game win vs.<br />

New England (1/19).<br />

COLLEGE<br />

Part of the nation’s most explosive aerial attack during his four seasons at Texas Tech (2003-06) as the Red Raiders led<br />

the nation with 398.9 passing yards per game during that span. Earned multiple All Big-12 Conference honors following<br />

his senior year and established a school lifting record with his 550-pound bench press.<br />

Was a First Team All-District 20-5A selection in his final two seasons at Willowridge High School in Houston.<br />
