• By surpassing 200 yards in the first half at Washington (12th time in his career), Stafford became the second quarterback<br />

(Patriots QB Tom Brady, 2011) to throw for 200 yards in the first half in each of the season’s first three games.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 23-of-35 passes for 242 yards and one touchdown (one interception) in Week 4 vs. Chicago (9/29).<br />

‣ ¾ Threw for 262 yards and one touchdown while completing 25-of-40 passes in Week 5 at Green Bay (10/6).<br />

‣ ¾ Stafford proved to be the Lions’ steady hand as he guided Detroit to a 31-17 win in Week 6 at Cleveland (10/13) after<br />

trailing 17-7 at halftime. On the day, he completed 25-of-43 passes for 248 yards and four touchdowns (one interception).<br />

• Stafford led the Lions to 24 unanswered points in the second half, including 17 points in the fourth quarter after<br />

trailing 17-14 to begin the final quarter of the game. In the second half, Stafford completed 15-of-21 passes (71.4<br />

pct) for 165 yards and threw three touchdowns as he garnered a 114.1 passer rating.<br />

• With four touchdowns at Cleveland (10/13), it marked the seventh time in his career he has thrown 4+ touchdown<br />

passes in a game. The Lions are now 6-1 when he throws 4+ touchdowns in a game.<br />

• By claiming victory at Cleveland (10/13) after trailing 17-14 entering the fourth quarter, Stafford notched his 11th<br />

career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.<br />

• Stafford’s 488 passing yards was his sixth 400-yard game and 21st 300-yard game of his career. Stafford holds six<br />

of the team’s nine 400+-yard games in franchise history.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 18-of-35 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns (one interception) in Week 10 at Chicago (11/10).<br />

‣ ¾ His three-touchdown performance was the 15th time in his career he has accomplished this and it was the third time<br />

COLLEGE<br />

Stafford closed out his three-year career at Georgia ranking third on the school’s all-time record list for yards passing<br />

(7,731), pass attempts (987), completed passes (564), touchdown passes (51), touchdowns responsible for (57), and yards<br />

in total offense (7,944). In 34 starting assignments, he compiled a 27-7 record (.794).<br />

‣ ¾ Stafford enjoyed his most successful collegiate season in 2008 starting in all 13 games and completed 235-of-383 passes<br />

(both fourth on the school season-record list) for 3,459 yards (second-best season total by a Bulldog passer), compiling a<br />

.6136 pass completion percentage. He also set the Bulldog season-record with 25 touchdown tosses and 10 interceptions<br />

and averaged 9.03 yards per pass attempt, the third-best season total in Georgia history. His passing efficiency rating<br />

of 153.54 is the second-best annual mark in school annals. Also ran for 40 yards and a score on 55 carries (0.7 avg).<br />

‣ ¾ On 423 plays, he amassed a school season-record 3,499 yards in total offense (269.15 yards per game), along with being<br />

responsible for 26 touchdowns (third on the Georgia season-record list).<br />

‣ ¾ Capital One Bowl MVP. Earned All-Southeastern Conference Second Team honors from the league’s coaches and<br />

Associated Press.<br />

‣ ¾ Earned the team’s Vince Dooley Most Valuable Player of the Year Award and received SEC Academic Honor Roll<br />

distinction for the fall semester.<br />

‣ ¾ Stafford started every game, in 2007 as a sophomore compiling an 11-2 record. Completed 194-of-348 passes (55.75%)<br />

for 2,523 yards, 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Carried 39 times for losses totaling 18 yards, but also scored twice<br />

on the ground. Averaged 192.69 yards per game on 387 total plays for 2,505 yards.<br />

‣ ¾ The recipient of the Dr. and Mrs. Howard Williams, II, Football Scholarship.<br />

‣ ¾ The team ranked 74th in the nation with an average of 375.62 yards per game, but Stafford proved to be an opportunist,<br />

as the Bulldogs placed 34th in scoring (32.62 points per game).<br />

‣ ¾ In 2006, became the first quarterback to start for Georgia right out of high school (graduated from high school early and<br />

enrolled at UGA in January) since Eriz Zeier in 1991. Completed 135-of-256 passes (52.73%) for 1,749 yards, as he had<br />

seven touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Scored three times and gained 191 yards on 47 carries (4.1 avg). Participated<br />

in 303 plays, compiling 1,940 yards in total offense (149.23 yards per game).<br />

‣ ¾ Appeared in 13 games, compiling a 6-2 record after taking over as the team’s starter in the final eight contests.<br />

‣ ¾ Selected to the Freshman All-SEC team by the league’s coaches, twice earning SEC Freshman of the Week honors.<br />
