Third-year wide receiver and return man who brings athleticism and speed to the Lions receiving corps. Established
himself as Detroit’s go-to threat on special teams in 2013 after spending time with the Green Bay Packers and on the
Lions practice squad.
‣ ¾ At Philadelphia (12/8/13), Ross became the second player in Lions history to register a punt return touchdown (58
yards) and kickoff return touchdown (98 yards) in the same game. He joined RB Eddie Payton (vs. Minnesota December
17, 1977) as the only Lions players to accomplish this feat.
• Ross is the 13th player (14th player including playoffs) in NFL history to score a punt return and kickoff return
touchdown in the same game. He is the first player (regular season) to return a punt and kickoff for touchdown in a
game since Miami WR Ted Ginn, Jr. vs. Seattle September 11, 2011.
• Ross also became the fourth player in team history to record two total kick returns for touchdowns. Along with
Payton and Drummond, Hall of Fame CB Jack Christensen recorded two punt return touchdowns in a game twice in
his career (vs. Los Angeles, October 14, 1951; vs. Green Bay, November 22, 1951).
2013: Took over as the Lions’ return man midway through the season after spending the first three weeks of the season
and one touchdown, two rushes for 40 yards, 17 punt returns for 263 yards (15.5 avg) and one touchdown and 21 kickoff
(12/8) where he became the second player in Lions history to register a punt return touchdown (58 yards) and kickoff return
touchdown (98 yards) in the same game.
