original Pro Bowl squad (non-alternate) since TE David Sloan in 2000 and first receiver since WR Herman Moore in 1998.<br />

‣ ¾ In 2008, he led Detroit with 78 receptions for 1,331 yards (17.1 avg) and 12 touchdowns. Johnson finished the 2008<br />

season with some of the top offensive statistics in the NFL: tied for first in touchdown receptions (12), fifth in receiving<br />

yards (1,331), second in yards per catch among receivers with 60 receptions (17.1), tied for second in 20+-yard receptions<br />

(21), tied for second in 40+-yard receptions (seven) and tied for first in 25+-yard touchdown catches (six).<br />

NFL RECORDS AND NOTES<br />

‣ ¾ 2014: With 119 career games, Johnson holds the NFL all-time record for receiving yards per game. His 39-yard effort<br />

against the Packers (12/28) moved his career average to 87.4 (10,405 yards).<br />

‣ ¾ With a 103-yard effort at Chicago (12/21/14), Johnson recorded his 44th-career 100-yard game, which is the secondmost<br />

by a player in his first eight seasons in NFL history. He finished just one 100-yard game behind WR Randy Moss<br />

(45, 1998-2006) for the most by a player in his first eight seasons.<br />

‣ ¾ 2013: After catching six passes for 98 yards against Baltimore (12/16/13), Johnson became the first player in NFL<br />

history to register 5,000 receiving yards over a three-year span.<br />

• By surpassing 1,400 yards in 2013, Johnson joined Hall of Fame WR Jerry Rice (1993-95) and WR Marvin Harrison<br />

(1999-2002) as the only players in NFL history with three-consecutive seasons registering 1,400+ receiving yards.<br />

• He is the sixth player in NFL history with three career seasons of 1,400+ receiving yards, including Rice (6), WR Larry<br />

Fitzgerald (4), Harrison (4), WR Andre Johnson (3) and WR Randy Moss (3).<br />

‣ ¾ With his 115 yards against Tampa Bay (11/24/13), Johnson tallied 861 yards over his past five games, setting a new<br />

NFL record for receiving yards in five games. He broke the previous record of 822 yards set by Houston WR Charley<br />

Hennigan in 1961.<br />

‣ ¾ Johnson is the sixth player in NFL history to catch a pass in their first 100 games (Marshall Faulk, Marvin Harrison,<br />

Keyshawn Johnson, Randy Moss and Jeremy Shockey).<br />

‣ ¾ Johnson’s 329 yards vs. Dallas (10/27/13) are the most by a player in NFL history during a regulation game. In Flipper<br />

Anderson’s NFL record 336-yard game, 40 yards occurred in overtime. Anderson finished regulation with 296 receiving<br />

yards. By reaching 100 yards vs. Dallas, Johnson (329) became the third player in NFL history to collect 36 100-yard<br />

receiving games in his first 100 games.<br />

‣ ¾ On his first reception of the game at Washington (9/22/13), a 23-yarder in the first quarter, Johnson surpassed 8,000<br />

career receiving yards. He became the fifth player in NFL history to reach 8,000 career receiving yards in fewer than 100<br />

games. Johnson accomplished this feat in his 96th career game.<br />

‣ ¾ Johnson became the third player in NFL history to register 500 career receptions and 8,000 receiving yards in fewer than<br />

100 games. Johnson accomplished this feat in his 96th career game. He joins WR Randy Moss (93) and WR Torry Holt<br />

(95) as the only players in NFL history with 500 receptions and 8,000 yards in fewer than 100 games.<br />

‣ ¾ 2012: Produced one of the most historic seasons among receivers in NFL history during 2012 season. Finished the<br />

season with 122 receptions for an NFL record 1,964 yards and five touchdowns.<br />

• By establishing an NFL single-season record (1,964), he broke the mark set by WR Jerry Rice (1,848 in 1995) by<br />

116 yards.<br />

• His 122.8 yards per game average was the third-most in NFL history (minimum 12 games) and the most since WR<br />

Charley Hennigan recorded a 124.7 yard per game average (14 games) in 1961.<br />

‣ ¾ By gaining over 100 yards vs. Atlanta (12/22/12), he set an NFL record with his eighth-straight 100-yard receiving game.<br />

He broke the previous record (7) by WR Charley Hennigan (1961) and WR Michael Irvin (1995).<br />

‣ ¾ Johnson’s 11 receptions against Atlanta (12/22/12) was his fourth-straight game with 10+ receptions and he became<br />

the first player in NFL history to register 10+ receptions in four-straight games.<br />

‣ ¾ In 2012, he became the first player in NFL history with 1,900 receiving yards in a season, the second player to register<br />

over 1,800 receiving yards and the fifth player to record over 1,700 yards in NFL history. Rice (1,848 in 1995) and Johnson<br />

are the only players to record 1,800 receiving yards in a season, and Johnson joins Rice, WR Isaac Bruce (1,781 in 1995),<br />

Hennigan (1,746 in 1961) and WR Marvin Harrison (1,722 in 2002) in the group of receivers to record 1,700 yards in a season.<br />

‣ ¾ Johnson’s 122 receptions in 2012 made him the sixth player in NFL history (eight times) to register 120 receptions in a<br />

season. 122 receptions are tied for fourth-highest single-season tally in NFL history.<br />

‣ ¾ Ended 2012 averaging 16.02 yards per reception. He and WR Rod Smith are the only players in NFL history to register<br />

100 receptions and a yard per receptions average over 16. Smith averaged 16.020 (100-1602), which was slightly higher<br />

than Johnson (16.016; 122-1,964).<br />

‣ ¾ In 2012, Johnson registered 11 100+-yard receiving games, tied for the most in NFL history for a single season (M.<br />

Irvin, 1995).<br />

‣ ¾ First player in NFL history to record two 200-yard games in two different seasons (2011, 2012).<br />

‣ ¾ He has registered five 200+-yard receiving games, tied for the most in League history (L. Alworth).<br />
