SERIES NOTES
‣ ¾Lions K Jason Hanson played in his
200th career game as a Lion when
the Redskins visited Ford Field in
2004. Hanson’s 200th game tied
him for first on the Lions’ all-time
games played list with Wayne
Walker (1958-72).
‣ ¾Detroit’s 33-17 win over the
Redskins on December 5, 1999 at
the Silverdome snapped a 16-game
losing streak against Washington
dating back to a 14-10 Lions’ win at
Tiger Stadium on October 3, 1965.
‣ ¾On September 27, 2009, Lions
rookie QB Matthew Stafford threw
for 241 yards and one TD and
was 21-of-36 (58.3 pct.) with no
interceptions for his first win as an
NFL starting quarterback.
‣ ¾QB Matthew Stafford connected
with WR Calvin Johnson for 3 TDs
and rookie DT Ndamukong Suh
registered 2 sacks and a fumble
return for a touchdown in the
team’s 37-25 win over Washington
on October 31, 2010 at Ford Field.
‣ ¾The Lions defeated the Redskins
in Washington on September
22, 2013, breaking a streak of
21-consecutive road losses. The
last time the Lions had previously
defeated the Redskins on the road
was October 13, 1935, a 17-7
victory at Boston.
