An eight-year veteran roaming NFL defensive backfields, Ihedigbo came to Detroit in 2014 and joins S Glover Quin as one of<br />

the most experienced safety tandems in the League. Joined the New York Jets as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2007 and<br />

played three seasons with the team (2008-10) before stops in New England (2011) and most recently Baltimore (2012-13).<br />

Played in a reserve safety role with the Ravens in 2012 en route to the team’s Super Bowl XLVII win over San Francisco.<br />

‣ ¾ In seven seasons, has seen action in 14 playoff games (four starts), including six with New York, three with New England<br />

and four with Baltimore.<br />

2014: Took control of the Lions’ defensive backfield alongside Quin in his first season in Detroit, finishing the year ranked<br />

fourth on the team with 71 tackles (59 solo), two sacks (13.5 yards), four interceptions (86 yards), eight pass defenses,<br />

three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. As a unit, the Lions safeties led the NFL in interceptions with 11 and ranked<br />

fourth in pass defenses with 20.<br />

‣ ¾ Recorded the first two interceptions of his career vs. Cincinnati (11/10) and returned them for a total of 46 yards. Finished<br />

the game with nine tackles (six solo).<br />
