An eight-year veteran roaming NFL defensive backfields, Ihedigbo came to Detroit in 2014 and joins S Glover Quin as one of
the most experienced safety tandems in the League. Joined the New York Jets as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2007 and
played three seasons with the team (2008-10) before stops in New England (2011) and most recently Baltimore (2012-13).
Played in a reserve safety role with the Ravens in 2012 en route to the team’s Super Bowl XLVII win over San Francisco.
‣ ¾ In seven seasons, has seen action in 14 playoff games (four starts), including six with New York, three with New England
and four with Baltimore.
2014: Took control of the Lions’ defensive backfield alongside Quin in his first season in Detroit, finishing the year ranked
fourth on the team with 71 tackles (59 solo), two sacks (13.5 yards), four interceptions (86 yards), eight pass defenses,
three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. As a unit, the Lions safeties led the NFL in interceptions with 11 and ranked
fourth in pass defenses with 20.
