‣ ¾ Drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round (240th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.
PRO
Massive offensive tackle who comes to Detroit following a decorated career at South Carolina where he protected the left
side of the offensive line. Expected to provide valuable depth along the Lions’ young rotation of tackles that includes T
Riley Reiff, T LaAdrian Waddle and T Cornelius Lucas.
COLLEGE
Began his college career at South Carolina as a transition player from offensive line to defensive line, before permanently
switching back to offensive line as a redshirt sophomore in 2012. Logged 35 career starts in 38 games during his time as
a Gamecock.
2014: Started every game in 2014 as a senior, marking his third-consecutive year as a starter along the offensive line. Was
named a preseason Second Team All-SEC selection by the SEC media and coaches.
‣ ¾ Named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week vs. Georgia.
2013: Started all 13 games at left tackle as a redshirt junior and was a member of the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
2012: Returned from a brief stint on the defensive line to his more familiar side of the ball as he worked his way into the
starting lineup at tackle.
‣ ¾ Made his first-career start at left tackle against Missouri.
‣ ¾ Started nine of the final 10 games of the season.
2011: Transitioned from offensive line to defensive line in spring ball. Did not see any game action.
2010: Redshirted as a true freshman.
PERSONAL
Played his high school football for coach Bob Bryant at Havelock (N.C.) High School, graduating in 2010. Played mostly
offensive guard, but saw action along all five positions on the offensive line and some defensive line. Selected to play in
the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas.
‣ ¾ Rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals.
‣ ¾ Earned a degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management from South Carolina.
