‣ ¾ Rookie campaign was highlighted by his 13 touchdowns passes (Lions rookie passing record) and his gritty performance<br />

against Cleveland (11/22/09) when he threw for an NFL record 422 yards and tied a league single-game rookie record<br />

with five touchdown passes.<br />

‣ ¾ Was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week and was voted Rookie of the Week for Week 11 of the 2009 season.<br />

‣ ¾ Selected by Lions with the first overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft and was named the team’s starting quarterback to start<br />

the regular season. He was the youngest player to start the regular season at quarterback since Drew Bledsoe in 1993.<br />

2014: Finished his sixth NFL season 363-of-602 passing for 4,257 yards (60.3-percent), 22 touchdowns and only 12<br />

interceptions for an overall quarterback rating of 85.7. Led the Lions to five come-from-behind wins when the team was<br />

trailing or tied in the fourth quarter or overtime, while also setting new franchise records for career touchdown passes<br />

(131) and career passing yards (21,714) in 2014.<br />

‣ ¾ Displayed his leadership in the Lions’ new offense on Monday Night Football vs. the New York Giants in Week 1 (9/8)<br />

with a 346-yard, two-touchdown performance, including two touchdown passes to WR Calvin Johnson on the first<br />

two drives of the game. Stafford also punched in a five-yard rushing score, the 10th rushing touchdown of his career.<br />

‣ ¾ Started in his 50th-consecutive game in Week 2 at Carolina (9/14), finishing 27-of-48 for 291 yards and one touchdown<br />

and one interception.<br />

‣ ¾ Helped orchestrate a late scoring drive on a RB Reggie Bush touchdown that iced the Lions’ 19-7 win over the Packers<br />

in Week 3 (9/21) with a 6:54 drive to seal the game. Finished the game 22-of-34 passing for 246 yards.<br />

‣ ¾ Led the Lions offense to three touchdown drives, capped by his second rushing score of the season in Week 4 at New<br />

York Jets (9/28). Finished 24-of-34 for 293 yards and two touchdown passes.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 18-of-31 passes for 231 yards and one touchdown and one interception in Week 5 vs. Buffalo (10/5).<br />

‣ ¾ Threw for 185 yards and one touchdown while completing 18-of-33 passes in Week 6 at Minnesota (10/12).<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 27-of-40 passes (67.5 pct) for 299 yards and two touchdowns en route to a 24-23 come-from-behind win<br />

against the New Orleans Saints.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 24-of-47 passes for 325 yards and two touchdowns in Week 8 at Atlanta (10/26), including a 59-yard touchdown<br />

to WR Golden Tate which set the franchise’s all-time career passing touchdowns record with his 119th career touchdown<br />

pass. He broke the 58-year old record held by Hall of Fame QB Bobby Layne (118, 1950-58).<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 27-of-42 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns while also engineering his 15th career game-winning<br />

drive in the fourth quarter or overtime, and accomplished this for the third consecutive game in Week 10 vs. Miami (11/9).<br />

‣ ¾ Threw for 183 yards while completing 18-of-30 passes in Week 11 at Arizona (11/16).<br />

‣ ¾ Threw for 264 yards in Week 12 at New England (11/23).<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 34-of-45 passes for a season-high 390 yards and two touchdowns in Week 13 vs. Chicago (11/27).<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 26-of-34 passes (76.5 pct) for 311 yards and threw for three touchdowns in Week 14 vs. Tampa Bay (12/7).<br />

Stafford garnered his 27th career 300-yard passing game with 311 yards in the air. This was his fourth 300-yard game<br />

of the season. He now has registered 300 yards in back-to-back games eight times in his career.<br />

‣ ¾ Threw for 153 yards while completing 17-of-28 passes in Week 15 vs. Minnesota (12/14). He led the Lions on his 16th<br />

career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter or overtime. The 10-play drive, which started at the Lions’ own 20-yard<br />

line, covered 65 yards and culminated with a 33-yard field goal by K Matt Prater.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 22-of-39 passes for 243 yards in Week 16 at Chicago (12/21). Now with 4,040 yards this year, he reached<br />

4,000 yards on the season for the fourth time in his six-year career.<br />

‣ ¾ Threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns while completing 20-of-41 passes in Week 17 at Green Bay (12/28). With<br />

three touchdown passes at Green Bay, Stafford finished the 2014 season with 22 passing touchdowns and registered<br />

20+ TD passes on the season for the fourth consecutive year.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 28-of-42 passes for 323 yards and a touchdown in the NFC Wild Card game at Dallas (1/4).<br />

2013: Voted team captain for the fourth-straight season (201L3) and was a Pro Bowl alternate (2014) for the second-straight<br />

season. Became just the second passer in NFL history to throw for 4,500+ passing yards in three-consecutive seasons<br />

(Saints QB Drew Brees, 4, 2010-2013). In 2013, Stafford was 371-of-634 (58.5 pct) for 4,650 yards, 29 touchdowns and 19<br />

interceptions and had a passer rating of 84.2 as he finished fourth in the League in passing yards. He continued his assault<br />

on the Lions record books as he became the franchise leader in career passing yards (17,457), breaking the 55-year old<br />

record (1958) held by Hall of Fame QB Bobby Layne. With only five years under his belt, Stafford (109) now trails Layne<br />

(118) for the most touchdown passes in Lions history.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 28-of-43 passes for 357 yards and two touchdowns in the Lions’ 34-24 opening day win vs. Minnesota (9/8).<br />

• His 357 yards was the second-highest tally by a Lions quarterback on opening day in team history (Bobby Layne,<br />

364; vs. Pittsburgh 9/27/53). Stafford’s 357-yard outing was his 18th career 300-yard game and the third he has<br />

tallied on opening day.<br />

• Stafford now has three of the top five highest games of passing yards on opening day in team history. He also surpassed<br />

the 13,000-yard mark for career passing yards and became the second player in team history to reach that<br />

milestone (Bobby Layne, 15,710).<br />

‣ ¾ Threw for 278 yards and two touchdowns while completing 24-of-36 passes in Week 2 at Arizona (9/15).<br />

• Stafford registered 210 passing yards in the first half at Arizona, surpassing the 200-yard mark in the first half of a<br />

game for the 11th time in his career. He passed for 200 yards in the first half in the first two games of the season,<br />

which is the fourth time in his career he has recorded 200-yards in the first half in back-to-back games.<br />

‣ ¾ Completed 25-of-42 passes for 385 yards and two touchdowns (one interception) as he led the Lions to a 27-20 win in<br />

Week 3 at Washington (9/22).<br />

• Stafford recorded his 10th career game-winning drive in the fourth quarter when the Lions were trailing or tied. Detroit<br />

was tied with Washington at 17-17 entering the fourth quarter. With 11:08 left, Stafford led the Lions on a scoring<br />

drive that culminated in a 28-yard field goal to give the Lions a lead which they would not relinquish.<br />
